While the U.S. jobs report wasn't encouraging, it did make it more likely that the Fed would take its time cutting back on its stimulus program, analysts said.
Which is not to say that stock markets don't still swoon over Bernanke's every word; the Fed chair has subsequently reassured markets in several public appearances, and stocks have perked up again.
